After several years of assisting working families living in low income, Union-Snyder CAA staff learned that many are frequently unable to purchase personal care supplies like toothpaste and shampoo due to a limited budget. Too often, families are forced into paying their electric bill over purchasing basic cleaning supplies, sacrificing the health and well being of themselves and their children.

 

Rather than continuing to let our families sacrifice necessary items to stay clean and healthy, we responded by creating The Linen Closet (TLC). TLC assists those on a limited budget who do not have the means to purchase basic personal care items and basic household supplies. TLC is built purely from donations from our community. All donations go directly to families that benefit from Union-Snyder CAA programs and service.

We are always seeking donations to keep our closet filled for our customers in Lewisburg and Selinsgrove locations. Commonly requested items include but are not limited to:

• Toilet paper

• Tissues

• Laundry detergent

• Diapers

• Shampoo

• Conditioner

• Body wash

• Toothbrushes and Toothpaste

• Feminine hygiene products

• Deodorant

• Lysol Wipes or cleaning spray

• Trash bags
